Senior Web Developer

Job Purpose

Responsible to design or re-design, develop, test and implement complex Web software programs and applications and provide technical support and expertise to customers, testing applications, responding to customer feedback, installations and maintenance.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next-generation websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects.

You’ll get to work closely and interact with some of the most high-profile clients in this region and the world. You will work with the product team to develop new products, functions and features in an agile environment. You will get exposure to cutting edge methodologies and technologies. You will also get to work closely with the apps and front-end development team to ensure that the product works seamlessly across multiple platforms and touchpoints.

What do you get to do?

• You will be involved in the whole project life cycle which includes requirement analysis, system design, software development, system testing, project deployment, debugging, project documentation and maintenance.

• You will be involved in the technical feasibility study and provide recommendations to the stakeholders.

• You will be developing a back-end system, websites, web applications and web services i.e. API to support the various user touchpoint including mobile apps.

• You will get to learn and develop on Amazon Web Service (AWS), the no. 1 cloud infrastructure provider in the world.

• You will architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications.

• For Engineering leads, you will be responsible for team members in your sub-team and you will manage their work tasks as well as welfare, within the framework of the company.

Qualifications Degree in IT or any related discipline

• Experience 4 years or above.

• Key Skills & Behaviours.

• Having relevant Web Application Engineering or Development experience.

• Possessing knowledge of software and coding skills specific to the job required.

• Demonstrating project management abilities.

• Developing strong quantitative skills.

• Collaborating across interdepartmental teams.

• Familiarity with the following programming languages: PHP, Node.js, MySQL, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.

• Familiarity with the following Front-End Frameworks: Express.js, React.js, Laravel and Angular.js.

• Ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English and Malay.
